Al-Quds Open University, represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohammad Shaheen, has achieved a high ranking in the H-Index, with a score of 7 and 19th place in the 2024 report of the Arab Citation and Impact Factor (Arcif) for Educational Sciences. This ranking is based on the citation of research by over 311,000 authors reviewed across the Arab world between 2012 and 2022, from a total of 800/20 authors.
Prof. Shaheen explained that this achievement reflects the research output in Palestine and the efforts of Palestinian researchers, who face numerous challenges and restrictions in conducting scientific research, particularly field-based studies. He highlighted that this accomplishment also adds to the distinction of Al-Quds Open University, as three of its academic journals are now ranked within (Q1). Shaheen expressed his gratitude to the Arab Citation and Impact Factor Initiative, which has gained a prestigious position in global rankings, helping to elevate Arab researchers by relying on international indicators such as the H-Index.
