The need to learn new languages increases as a result of globalization, particularly for the most widely spoken languages in the world. Multilingualism is more than just 'essential' in the current era as Knowing a foreign language other than your native tongue has become pretty helpful. Being able to communicate in a foreign language helps to make connections with people and open to the world.

A minor in translation into English fills a basic need by offering learners an opportunity to learn a new skill. This program uses modern teaching methods and techniques to prepare students to master translation and learn a new skill that will help the Palestinian society in many ways while utilizing cutting-edge teaching methods and techniques.

Preparing qualified human resources of English-to-Arabic and Arabic-to-English translators who are able to handle the requirements of these skills with high professionalism and with skills that keep up with the demands of the Palestinian, Arab, and global labor markets.

The objective of the program is to equip students with the cognitive and practical skills necessary to translate effectively from English into English and vice versa.

The "Minor in Translation" program seeks to achieve a set of specific objectives, the most important of which are:

• Training on the use and employment of translation skills .
• Empowering students with the latest technological methods of translation.
• Enabling students of the skills and advantages that a translator should possess in order to compete in the labor market in this field.
• Acquiring the skills required to work in foreign companies or institutions
• Giving students the opportunity to complete their postgraduate studies in the field of translation.
• Enhancing cultural communication with other civilizations and transmitting what is compatible with the culture of the Palestinian society.
