Amidst the rapid advancements in computer usage and applications, coupled with the ongoing development in information and communication technology, hallmarking the twenty-first century, Al-Quds Open University has established the Faculty of Technology and Applied Sciences. This initiative underscores the university's commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to fulfilling its national, scientific, and professional duties.
The faculty of Technology and applied sciences seeks to keep pace with technological advancements by offering essential and vital academic programs and specializations. These programs aim to supply the Palestinian and Arab markets with graduates who are proficient in various computer applications and information and communication technology.
The Faculty offers five specializations at the bachelor's degree level, along with three sub-specializations: Web Technologies, Information Security, and Multimedia and Graphic Design, across various branches in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The main specializations are: Computer Information Systems, Information and Communications Technology, Mathematics, Science, and Libraries and Information Technology
QOU has been keen to provide a specialized teaching staff with competence and experience, and has prepared study plans and curricula that are compatible with current progress and the requirements of the labor market, in addition to providing modern and advanced laboratories in the various branches of the university to suit the practical applications needed by the various courses in the Faculty.

The faculty aims at preparing equipped, qualified graduates in the fields of Computer Science, IT and Communication, Game Design, Multimedia Design, and Graphic Design. Furthermore, the faculty is seeking to equip graduates with competencies that enable them to work in the field of education, scientific research, and medical and scientific labs.
