Conclusion of Training Program on Preparing Graduates for the Digital Labor Market and Entrepreneurship

 The Continuing Education and Community Service Center at the Bethlehem branch concluded, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, a specialized training course titled “Soft Skills and Employment.” The course consisted of 20 training hours and was organized under the project “Preparing Graduates for the Digital Labor Market and Entrepreneurship,” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by GIZ, and conducted in partnership with Al-Quds Open University. The program aimed to develop participants’ personal and professional skills and enhance their readiness to engage in the labor market.

Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shaer emphasized the importance of soft skills and their central role in shaping students’ personalities and preparing them for professional life. He highlighted their positive impact and stressed the importance of continuous self-development alongside academic specializations and qualifications, in order to improve students’ chances of success and distinction in the labor market.

The training which was delivered by Engineer Firas Koali, focused on practical issues including effective communication skills, teamwork, stress and emotion management, creative thinking, and problem-solving. It also covered employment-related skills such as building a professional identity, preparing a CV, and preparing for job interviews.

This program comes as part of the university’s commitment to its community role in supporting students and graduates and equipping them with the skills necessary to build a successful and sustainable professional future.
