Dr. Murad Al-Jundi, faculty member at Al-Quds Open University’s Hebron Branch, took part in the conference held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, via Google Meet.

Dr. Al-Jundi, together with Prof. Rabee Al-Abzouzi from Blida 2 University, presented a peer-reviewed scientific paper entitled “Traumatic Experiences Witnessed through Social Media and Their Relationship with Death Anxiety among Secondary School Students in the Hebron Education Directorates.” The paper examined the level of traumatic experiences encountered by secondary school students in Hebron and how such exposure relates to their death anxiety.

The researchers recommended developing digital psychological counseling programs targeting adolescents and school students, focusing on training them to manage exposure to distressing online content and offering positive interactive alternatives. They also recommended integrating the concept of psychological media literacy into school curricula to raise awareness about the mental health risks of repeated exposure to traumatic content.

It is worth noting that the conference featured over 35 peer-reviewed research papers presented in 15 parallel sessions, addressing various issues and themes related to its central topic. The participation of Al-Quds Open University reflects its commitment to engaging in international academic forums and strengthening cooperation with universities at the local, regional, and global levels.
