Erasmus+ programme is the European funding programme established in 1987 in the fields of education, training, youth and sport. The aim of the programme is to support the modernization, accessibility and internationalization of higher education in partner and program countries.

Al-Quds Open University as the the largest university in Palestine and the pioneer institution in the Arab world, which adopts open & blended learning philosophy to keep up with international advances in technology and learning, has been participating in the programme since 2015 through capacity-building projects in the field of higher education and transnational cooperation projects, based on multilateral partnerships with a large number of national and European universities.

Al Quds Open University has a high potential for integration into projects demonstrated by its leading and participation in Erasmus+ projects. QOU is a leader for three Erasmus+ projects with a budget of around 3 million Euro, and a partner in four other projects.
