Al-Quds Open University, The University of Jordan and Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry organize The Joint 11th International Scientific Conference on Contemporary Trends in Empowering and Developing Human Resources in Light of Trust and Knowledge Economies During the period: 9-11/6/2020 Hebron/Palestine |
Conference Importance
The importance of the conference lies in shedding lights on the contemporary trends in empowering and developing human resources in light of trust and knowledge economies, and their reflections on the successful institutional work, and the direct and indirect effects on economical operations of empowerment in the Arab communities. Institutions that utilize human capacities in their diverse activities and operations create a harmonious environment for the interaction of these human capacities as a solid foundation of human capital.
Modern studies and literature stress the importance of the paramount role of human resources, the importance of employing trust economies and economy based on knowledge. These effective, competent and successful economies rely on using the appropriate combination of human, physical, financial and technical capacities.
The success of institutions in realizing the optimum employment of human resources lies in using effective indicators that measure precisely the actual progress and achievements of the human resources in terms of quality, quantity and efficacy. These indicators will measure the differences in terms of quantity, quality and uses, from one stage to another. It is preferable to use time and global indicators when conducting these comparisons.
The studies and the theoretical and applicable researches stress the prominent role that can be realized through empowering human resources, as this will be an added value to the institution since empowering human resources is considered a sustainable investment. Investing in human capital is greater than investing in capital. However, the returns and success of any institution is attached to the level of empowerment and development of individuals.
Empowerment is considered a management approach as it gives employees greater authority in assuming responsibility, control and employ capacities in the best way. Through empowerment, individuals of different administrative positions can participate in making the required impact in the process of decision-making. It leads to cooperation in a way that does not only rely on the official channels in the process of decision-making, but is also based on the model of leadership, organizational culture, information systems, training, incentives and engagement in the senior management.
Empowerment leads to faster and effective implementation of employees’ activities in face of the challenges and threats that face the institutions.
Empowerment of employees leads to investing their potentials and self-motivation through enhancing important aspects in individuals such as self-motivation, demonstrate self-confidence and strengthen the spirit of initiative and willingness to work, which leads to creativity, innovation and realize the objectives of the institution with a high efficiency and effectiveness.
