Al-Quds Open University inaugurates an international virtual conference on Realities, Experiences, Challenges, and Remedies on Teaching and Learning English, Translation, and Literature in the Post-Pandemic Coronavirus Atmosphere

The Democratic Arab Center in Germany in cooperation with Al-Quds Open University in Palestine, the University of Benghazi, Libya; the University of Mosul, Iraq; Mustapha Stambouli Mascara University, Algeria; Manouba University, Tunisia, in the presence of the Libyan Minister of Culture, Dr. Mabrouka Tuffi Othman Aoki  inaugurated an international virtual conference on Realities, Experiences, Challenges, and Remedies on Teaching and Learning English, Translation, and Literature in the Post-Pandemic Coronavirus Atmosphere in the World Conference.

The inaugural session was opened by the Chairman of the Committee Prof. Abdel-Raouf Khreiwesh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Al-Quds Open University. The conference will include 10 sessions distributed on 4 days from 6-9 June and will discuss 31 scientific papers.

Dr. Lina Omar from Al-Quds Open University chaired the first session that included 4 speakers from international universities who addressed topics related to translation and literature; Prof. Jessica Kirschover, Director of Partnerships at the Woodring School of Education at Washington University, Virginia, in the United States of America, addressed "Education in the United States and the post-Coronavirus pandemic on childhood education, the method and among them."

Prof. David Martin from the Department of English at the University of Washington in the United States of America highlighted in his paper the facts, experiences and challenges of education in light of the Corona pandemic.

Professor Kangjum Lim from Hanyang University focused on "Thinking about Education through Creative Writing".

Professor Stephen Bennivids, an educational consultant and expert in academic work presented a paper on education “Future Today”. 

At the end of the session; the audience was given the time to discuss with the speakers, which contributed to enriching the scientific sesion .
