Distinguished participation of Al-Quds Open University in French-Palestinian academic meetings

 Al-Quds Open University concluded its participation in the French-Palestinian academic meetings organized by the French government through Campus France. The meetings were held in cooperation with the French Consulate General in Jerusalem – the Cultural Attaché - University Cooperation Department.

It is noteworthy that 15 Palestinian experts and academics representing Palestinian higher education institutions and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research participated in the academic meeting where Dr. Eng. Imad Hodali, President Assistant for Public and International Relations & Media represented Al-Quds Open University.

The meetings were also attended by representatives of French and governmental educational institutions specialized in higher education and scientific research, with the aim of promoting and developing French-Palestinian cooperation in this field.

During the scientific session, Dr. Hodali presented a paper on the opportunities of digital teaching and learning tools to achieve democracy in higher education and lifelong learning, QOU as a model.  Dr. Hodali also met with representatives of French universities, most notably: Jean Moulin Lyon University, The University of Franche-Comté (UFC), Rennes University, Lille University and the University of Political Science in Aix-en-Provence. .

Dr. Hodali also participated in a three-day meeting of the Board of Directors of the International Association “Open Digital Space for the Mediterranean” the e-OMED, as an elected member of the Board of Directors of the organization, representing Al-Quds Open University.  The meetings discussed the organization's orientations for the next phase. The web page of the organization, which Al-Quds Open University is developing, was reviewed.

Dr. Hodali with Prof. Francois Henn, President of eOMED, Dr. Gilani Lamloumi Vice President for Development, former President of Tunis Virtual University, met with Dr. Catherine Mongenet  President of the governmental organization (FUN) which is specialized in digitizing French higher education where the meeting discussed ways of cooperation between the two organizations on the one hand, and with Al-Quds Open University on the other.
